Climb High, Dive Deep, Look Wide.

I study software and AI services for people, from services that interact with the physical environment to agentic software engineering.

KyeongDeok Baek

I received my Ph.D. from the School of Computing at KAIST in 2024 and am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the KAIST Institute of Information Electronics. Since 2026, I have also been a part-time lecturer at Daejeon Science High School, teaching computational thinking and programming.

My doctoral research investigated how modeling and learning uncertain factors can improve services that interact with the physical environment. Drawing on service computing, the Internet of Things, and reinforcement learning, I studied service selection and composition and later expanded this work to federated learning and service operation in edge–cloud environments.

My current interests include agentic software engineering and cooperation among heterogeneous Physical AI services. I am working on multi-agent cooperative validation and specialization to improve the reliability of AI-based services. This blog collects notes on that research, papers, and lessons learned through implementation.
